FAQ

General questions

What areas do you cover?

We are based in Palmerston North and primarily serve the Manawatū region. We are also available to travel for events throughout New Zealand. Travel costs may apply outside the local area.

How far in advance should I book?

Earlier is better for fixed event dates. Weddings are commonly booked 6–12 months ahead, while 2–3 months is often workable for other events. We will still try to accommodate shorter notice when the schedule allows.

Do you offer custom packages?

Yes. Standard packages make common decisions easier, but services can be tailored when your event, footage or delivery requirements are different.

What equipment do you use?

Projects use HD video cameras and dedicated audio equipment, with multi-camera setups commonly using two or three cameras depending on the package and event.

How do I receive my finished video?

Most current packages use digital delivery via Google Drive. DVD options remain available for selected services and packages.

What is the turnaround time?

Lightly edited footage is commonly delivered within 2–4 weeks. Fully edited videos may take around 4–8 weeks depending on complexity and workload. A project-specific estimate can be confirmed when you book.

Do you film both the ceremony and reception?

Yes. Ceremony and reception packages are available separately, and Standard or Premium combination packages cover both.

Can I add a highlights film?

Yes. A 3–8 minute highlights film backed by music of your choice is currently listed at $450.

Do you offer live streaming for weddings?

Yes. Ceremony live streaming is currently $75 when combined with a filming package or $395 as a stand-alone service, subject to suitable mobile data coverage at the venue.

FAQ

School productions

What is the difference between Standard and Premium?

Standard uses two HD cameras with high-quality audio and a light edit. Premium uses three HD cameras, fully edited footage and music-file overlay, with additional DVD options available.

Do you offer live streaming for school productions?

Yes. Live streaming starts from $75 and depends on suitable connectivity at the venue.

Can you create a featurette or trailer?

Yes. A 35–45 minute featurette is currently $215 and a 30–180 second trailer is $295.

How do students and parents receive the video?

The school receives a digital download link that it can distribute according to its own processes. DVD packages are also available from $10 each.

FAQ

Tape & DVD transfer

What types of tapes can you transfer?

VHS, VHS-C, MiniDV, Video8, Digital8 and audio cassette formats are supported. We currently support PAL tapes only.

What format will my videos be in?

Video is typically delivered as MP4, with additional formats available on selected premium options. Audio can be supplied in formats such as MP3, WAV, AIFF or FLAC.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes. Current tape and DVD discounts are 5% for 5–10 items, 10% for 11–25, and 15% for 26 or more.

How do I get tapes or DVDs to you?

Local clients can arrange drop-off, collection or delivery. Shipping can also be discussed for clients outside the area.
